ISLAMABAD: Sindh Health Minister Dr. Saghir Ahmad on Wednesday said that 395 vaccination centers have been set up to control the measles disease in the province.
Talking to a private news channel, he said that the anti-measles vaccination campaign is in progress in seven districts of Sindh.
He also said that emergency steps are being taken to control the spread of measles in the province that has claimed lives of eighty-nine children up till now.
Dr. Sagheer said that a drive to vaccinate children against measles has been started in these districts are Khairpur, Shikarpur, Larkana, Kambar, Sukkur, Jacobabad and Kashmore.
He said that the department has set up three hundred ninety five centres for vaccination while 668 mobile teams have also been established to go door-to-door to vaccinate children.
He said 12,127 cases of measles have been reported in the province.
