Hammer23OSLO: Oil and gas firm Statoil restarted production at its Hammerfest liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Arctic Norway, the firm said on Wednesday.

Statoil stopped production at the plant, which processes gas from the Snoehvit field, when a 20-minute power failure forced the partial evacuation of the facility on Nov. 19.

Statoil is the field's operator with a 36.79 percent stake. Other owners include state holding firm Petoro (30 pct), Total (18.4 pct), GDF Suez (12 pct) and RWE (2.8 pct).
