ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday apprised the Upper House of Parliament that around 478 NADRA Registration Centres (NRCs) were operational in the country.
In response to a question during Question Hour, he said that 187 such centres were working in Punjab, 117 in Sindh, 94 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 53 in Balochistan, 7 in Capital Territory, 9 in Gilgit Baltistan and 11 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister said that 308 buildings have been hired for NRCs while 170 remaining 170 building were provided by the provincial/local governments.
He said that an amount of Rs. 10,863,330 was being paid on account of rent per month for the hired buildings.
