ISLAMABAD: The chief ministers of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf here at the PM Secretariat on Thursday before commencement of the 10th meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI).
The Prime Minister informed chief ministers Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif (Punjab), Syed Qaim Ali Shah (Sindh), Ameer Haider Khan Hoti (KPK) and Nawab Aslam Raeesani (Balochistan) about his recent visit to Laos where he addressed the Asia Europe Summit Meeting (ASEM).
He said that his meetings with various heads of state and government at the sidelines of the summit were very useful.
The Prime Minister appreciated the keenness shown by the chief ministers for their participation in the CCI meetings, which he said, would go a long way in strengthening the institution of CCI and making it more effective.
He expressed the confidence that collective wisdom for the resolution of issues of national importance was in keeping with the democratic spirit.
