PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance, Hamayun Khan Friday announced allocation of Rs 492.8 million for 27 projects of Social Welfare and Women Development projects in fiscal year 2012-13.
The minister stated this during speach for budget 2012-13 here at the assembly's floor on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, he said the amount would be utilized for the welfare projects including schemes for well being and safeguarding of destitute women, orphans, children, beggars, drug addicts and special persons.
The following targets have been envisaged for the year including establishment of ten vocational center in the province, special education for 90 disabled children, training to 2500 destitute women and provision of shelter and skill to 60 destitute women and 50 orphans.
