SINGAPORE: Spot silver dropped 2 percent to $29.08 an ounce on Monday amid a broad retreat in commodities and equities, following Fitch's warning on downgrading France and six other euro zone nations.
The most-active US silver futures contract lost nearly 2 percent to $29.09 an ounce.
