SYDNEY: An alleged match-fixer had dinner with Pakistan players during their controversial tour of Australia, a report said on Monday, as the extraordinary Sydney Test in January came under fresh scrutiny. The Australian newspaper printed what it said was a photo of Mazhar Majeed, the agent caught up in a "spot-fixing" scandal, with several players at a Perth restaurant three weeks after the match.
The report comes after another Pakistani player claimed the Sydney Test, where Australia returned from almost certain defeat to record a rousing win, was fixed for illegal bookmaking syndicates.
