LAHORE: The nomination papers of PML-N president Nawaz Sharif, former CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, his son Hamza Shahbaz, Ayesha Ahad Malik and PTI chairman Imran Khan have been accepted while the papers of PPP stalwart Asif Hashmi were rejected on various charges.
Asif Hashmi had filed nomination papers for contesting election from NA-118.
PML-N president Mian Nawaz Sharif will contest elections for NA-120, PTI Chief Imran Khan will contest election for NA-125, former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif will contest elections for NA-129 and he will also contest elections for Punjab Assembly seat.
The interesting electoral fight will be seen at NA-119, where Hamza Shahbaz Sharif and Aysha Ahad Malik who claimed to be the wife of Hamza will confront each other for a National Assembly seat.
However, the nomination papers of prominent PPP leader, Asif Hashmi were rejected by the returning officer for NA-118 on various charges levelled by two petitioners.
The date of withdrawal of nomination papers has been fixed April 18.
